Proud to announce that MSEA has 100 airports in its catalog now and the number is still growing steadily every week. After a year of operation and 13k+ downloads from AVSIM I'm still going strong - it's pretty easy to stay motivated when you have a new airport to travel to after you're done! There are only a dozen or two airports left for NJ - including every airfield that FSX has in its database (and a few it doesn't!) After that... well we'll see where things are at that point in time :)

I was wondering if someone could help me out. I am having trouble converting MegaCity Atlanta into something usable in FSX. I have MegasceneryX and MSE working fine, but for some reason, cannot get the scenery package to incorporate right. I'm new to scenery, but figured someone here might be able to help. I have posted the pictures with the problem from before to after. Thanks in advance.

Here's my situation. I'm using megescenery earth - Chicago, along with several states. The states work fine during both daytime and at night. The Chicago scenery - only at night - city lights are not "turned on." Basically, when I take off from O'Hare and head toward the city, most ground light is in the distance. There should be city/suburban lights everywhere. It's Chicago afterall. And just to prove it to myself, I deselected the addon scenery, and the lights were everywhere - as you would expect. Now, with Megascenery turned on, as I approach an area that is lit up, before I get there, it goes dark. It looks ridiculous when you see a lit up building in the middle of pitch black. I've contacted MegaScenery 6 times and they have never responded. So does anyone know how I can set it so the lights stay on? - Ron

Hi all! So I downloaded Megascenery Pacific Northwest for FS9. It installed properly and everything. Everything was done with admin permissions. (I'm running windows 8). However, its just not working. Like, its just not working. I load up at Tacoma and its all default and nothing has changed. I've messed around with the scenery library and it won't do anything either. I'm pretty much at a stand still. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks for your time and help! A. Ford

Hello, Fellows, I´d like to know if Megascenery Earth 2 comes with both textures and mesh for a scenery, and what resolution is this mesh for USA, because FSGenesis covers entire USA mesh at about 8 meters resolution ( very good ), and will both products work together ? Thanks in advance, Dihelson Mendonça

I love Megascenery Earth but find the water masking lacking in many regards (missing lakes, rivers, islands, inaccurate coastlines, etc.) which results in the underlying landclass scenery "showing through" in areas that should be rendered as FSX/P3D water. Would using a product like FTX Global Vector or Ultimate Terrain X BENEATH the Megascenery layers result in water bodies lining up more accurately? The anomoly is shown in the illustrations linked below. Example 1 Example 2 My thinking is since the underlying landclass/vector scenery is "showing through" the water areas of the photo scenery replacing the underlying scenery with more accurate coastlines/hydrology would reduce these artifacts?

Hello, Folks, Recently MSE was half of the price and I purchased some titles. They are not the best of the best, but it´s what we have untill something better appear on the market. Unfortunatelly, I decided to purchase more scenery today, and saw that it´with "normal" prices ( Too High ) again. In my country U$ 1,00 is equivalent do 2, so what is already expensive becomes extremely expensive. I can only purchase when they are on sale. Does anybody know when they will be again ? I was just thinking about Florida, Michigan, Georgia, South and North Carolina. After all this, I will have to get Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennesse, Lousiana, Alabama, Maine, Rhode Island, New Hampshire. The rest I just have. All the best, Dihelson Mendonça

I love flying photoreal but I hate landing on a flat surface. I wonder if it's possible to turn off MSE at some grids around airports so that autogen scenery shows. Question is, how to find those grids. Gregg

Hi folks...looking for a little help. Most of my scenery is Orbx US and ANZ...but I bit on end of year sales and bought MegScenery for Connecticut and Pennsylvania. They were really big downloads, and I then ran the installers and installed them in their own directory and added them ( I thought) to the scenery library. What I get now whenever I start up is an error as follows (wanted to post jpeg or pdf of the message but the rules are so strict and complicated I figured I'd just retype the error): SECENERY.CFG file error. Local scenery directory (..\MegaSceneryEarth\Connecticut\MegaSceneryEarth (possibly more characters cut off here) Connecticut 003\SCENERY) in scenery Area.156 not found. Click OK to continue. OK Can I get a little help or guidance on fixing this? My thought is to go back and delete all the MegaScenery files installed in a custom locatuion and redo the install using the C:\ etc defaults (even though my FSX is on E:\FSX BTW I do have 'Scenery Config Editor" as well as "Addit!Pro for FSX" Thanks! Phil

Here are just some random shots of the new MSE updated Massachusetts 2.1..... Connecticut on the left and Massachusetts on the right. Here are the borders of MSE Vermont and in the distance MSE New Hampshire, Another shot of the border between Massachusetts and New Hampshire. A top down view from central Massachusetts. A shot flying over Quabbin Reservoir which is one of two reservoirs that provide water supply for Boston, Westover Metropolitan Airport near Holyoke. Over Downtown Boston. Another shot of Boston. Random shot. I just wanted to share so those whom might be interested in getting the product can get some alternate shots than from the online store....I will be posting more states as I can and try to show how the borders line up with each other.

I am currently thinking about purchasing photographic scenery for the state of Georgia from MegaScenery 2.0. I do have a couple of questions before I make the purchase for sure. First, I do notice that much of the buildings will be flat. Will the buildings within airport boundaries (Eg. Hangars, terminals, FBOs etc) be flat too, or will they be 3D as I am hoping? Second, I already have multiple airports within my state that I have already edited through the use of Airport Design Editor and Instant Object Studio. Will the addition of MegaScenery 2.0 be compatible with my edits or will it likely change them? I am hoping since I've used exclusion polygons on ADE that this will not be a problem. If anybody who's used MegaScenery 2.0 especially along with ADE and/or IOS can clear any of my concerns up that would be fantastic. Thanks!
