Hello fellow simmers I just made the switch from P3D v4 to v5. So far everything went great and i am amazed by the improvements. I had a lot of Addons installed on v4, especially some Texture, shader and atmospheric enhancements. With PBR on all the planes i use, tomatoshade is no longer needed (so i don't need a replacement). Reshade ist already installed and looking great. I also was a user of REX Sky- and Environment Force. As these products are no longer compatible, this leaves me with two questions that i hope to find some answers or opinions for: - I saw that Envtex ist compatible for v5. Is Envtex a compareable application to the REX products? (If not, what's the difference?). What's your opinion and what are your experiences ? Is Envtex for P3Dv5 worth it ? - in a lot of great looking P3Dv5 setups on youtube, i saw that Envtex is not used ("only" Active Sky and Reshade). That raises the question: is Envtex even needed to make P3Dv5 look better ? Thank's in advance for your answers. I wish you all a great week. Felix

Hi all! I purchased REX Essentials Plus OD a few months ago for FSX. I upgraded to P3D yesterday, purchased the REX Access Rights for P3D (5 bucks), got charged on my card for it, but according to the program, I haven't bought it and can't activate it. I have the latest version and hit the restore button under Backup/Restore Configuration, but it still says, "P3D not activated." Is there anybody who knows anything about this or who I can contact at REX? Or better yet, is there anybody from REX here on the forums? It's really annoying, mainly because I got charged for something I apparently never bought. Thanks.

Hello everyone. As everyone know , Rex is working on new weather engine Rex Weather Direct. I bought Rex 4 texture yesterday and looking for weather engine. ASN has %20 discount on their products. I can buy ASN without upgrade(doesnt have money for upgrade) or should I wait for Rex weather engine?. I think Rex weather engine will has better compatibility with Rex 4 texture. I would like to see your suggestions.

Hello, Does anyone have any experience using ASN with REX essentials plus overdrive? The reason I ask is because I already have REX but want to use the ASN as the weather engine. My question is Do i have to get REX4 in order to use ASN or can I somehow use ASN with REX Essentials? Thank you -
Hi guys, so I recently bought a new pc for maxing out graphics on fsx. Some of my PC specs are: Intel Core i7 4790k at 4.6GHZ cooled by a Corsair H100i EVGA Superclocked GTX 770 It is more than capable of producing ultra graphics, however it isn't. I have REX 4 with all of the textures at 4096, I am running Orbx Global and Vector, FTX England, REX essentials Plus Overdrive and Aerosoft airports. It is running very smoothly however, it looks nothing like the ones on YouTube. The water and the clouds don't seem to HD even though they are on max settings. Some of the videos on Youtube have been produced by computers with slower CPUs and graphics cards and they still look better than mine. Am I doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Josh.

I want to start flight simulator x and getting addons like GEX, REX, UTX Canada and wondering if my pc would run all those on like high graphics: flying stuff like vrs superbug and a boeing Specs: i7-3770 CPU 3.40ghz gtx 660 8gb ram windows 7 64-bit Hotas warthog g27 Also if there are any target profiles for hotas warthog for fsx would be appreciate also anyway i can get my g27 pedals as rudder i use them for dcs but cant figure it out for fsx and if u recommend what i start flying first like go from a small civilian aircraft like a cessna to what? Sorry for all the questions i just want to know so much and i play alot of dcs just want to try to get into civilian flying also so if i like it i will be getting a saitek yoke system. for REX what do i get for my system rex essentials plus with overdrive or just rex essentials plus? what is difference? Hey, I just bought my copy like an hour or so before this post. I installed some textures via Rex Essentials (with all SPs), and in water selection - I did click on DX10 optimization with textures set to 1024. Now, when I am in the FSX, I do not see the wave animations at all. I know the texture is installed. I see the animation in DX9 (Using the Sparkling Rex Wave Animation). I have tried rebuilding the ShaderCache...but no luck. Any ideas or thoughts on this? Thanks, Skywolf -

For some strange reason and it might be I lost my PW or something like that but when I log into the REX forums I am a Guest, so it's impossible to get any help or getting to the support forum. I have email Jay, no reply and PM rstough on here again no reply. I know they have there hands full so to be clear this is not a rant or complaint it's just that I cannot contact anyone though there web or forums, not that I can see anyway. I purchased REX Essential for FSX last week and I haven't been able to successfully open the file after it finishes downloading. I have tried downloading the file 7 times and every time after it finishes and I try to open it, it gives me a message that says the file is corrupt of invalid and cannot be opened. I have tried using download managers and external drives all with the same result. I have tried contacting REX directly but their phones are always busy, they won't return my messages, and they won't return my emails. I just want to get this downloaded and installed already. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

HI, I currently have REX OD installed, and I have been having a sort of curious "issue" with clouds for a while. I don't know if this is normal. When I am flying through a cloud, I see clouds in front of me. But, the moment I look to the side, the clouds do not exist around me--just in front of and behind the aircraft. I have cloud density all the way up in settings. Is this normal (As I understand it, FSX draws clouds as layers of sprites, but that is all I know)? I don't remember this being a problem with complex clouds in FS 2002 lol. Any help/ clarification is much appreciated!

Upgraded from an Asus EAH 6870 to a Gigabyte GTX 660 Ti with 2GB. FPS issues seem by and large to be a thing of the past now - even with my 4 year old i920. Here is my latest set. Thanks for looking
