Recommended Posts

Long time lover of flight sim's and I want to make the plunge to buying X-Plane. However can my Mac Book Pro handle it??

Specs:

MacBook Pro: 13 inch, Mid 2012

2.9 GHz Intel Core i7

8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB

I've read the "Minimum" requirements on their page but looking for some more insight. Please help the newbie on the block!

I've also downloaded the DEMO and seems to work fine. But Add ons and things like that, would that be a problem?

Intel HD graphics, not so good. All flightsims generally need an NVidia GTX video card X-Plane especially would require 16GB RAM and a 4GB Video card

That would be enough to get you started, but once you start using addon aircraft and weather,it will add up.

Try the demo first to see how you get on. Take note of the addon aircraft system requirements, they are usually quite accurate in what you will require to run them.
