ButtKicker Axis Options

Recommended Posts

Hi Opus.

I see that with only one ButtKicker connected you have to choose
what direction of movement you want the ButtKicker to respond to.
I would of thought that with only one device connected there would
be an option for it it to respond to all xyz axis movements at the same time.

??

Thanks,
gb.

That wouldn't make sense. Remember ButtKicker is a vibration device and not a motion platform. The only difference between the recorded X,Y, and Z axis accelerations are there severity or general nature. The Y axis would for instance vibrate the ButtKicker wrt any vertical accelerations and may be more suited to vibrations on a differently placed or orientated ButtKicker.

ButtKickers can only vibrate so the actual XYZ axis doesn't really matter.

I should have added. Due to the limited type of response from a ButtKicker device it's probably best not to combine all three axes into one as this would result in no noticeable variation in the ButtKicker's output.

Sorry, do you mean the ButtKicker would be then vibrating virtually all of the time?
