August 24, 200223 yr I cannot figure out how to prevent the fuel temp from falling so low.... I couldn't find where in the manual it explains how to HEAT the fuel. I only found how to cool equipment at high temps.-DK----David KohlFly! II v230Dell 8200 P4/1.8G, 1024MB RAM, Nvidia GF4 Ti4600 v29.42, WinXP Home Edition.CH Pro Pedals and Yoke USB.
August 24, 200223 yr Well, with this temperature you wouldn't go very far without doing something about it.The certfied freezing point of a jet A is about -40 C.Michael J. Michael J.
August 24, 200223 yr Hey, I would descend where the ambient outside temp is higher thus it will heat the fuel up slightly!!!
August 25, 200223 yr How come your wing tanks are near dry but your center tank is near full? You must fill up your wing tanks first and if you still need more fuel for your route, then you use the center tank.
August 25, 200223 yr Clearly ever sim has its 'favorite' fuel temperature. In the 767PIC it happens to be +6 C. Equally unbelievable number as your -50 C. Now if we just took an average of both numbers we would be just fine .. :-lolMichael J. Michael J.
August 27, 200223 yr You can also try flying faster, which will increase the friction of the air molecules over the skin of the aircraft and increase the TAT.Jon (KSEA)
August 27, 200223 yr Author No idea. Just filled using default levels. That's what happened.-DK----David KohlFly! II v230Dell 8200 P4/1.8G, 1024MB RAM, Nvidia GF4 Ti4600 v29.42, WinXP Home Edition.CH Pro Pedals and Yoke USB.
