September 30, 200223 yr Gidi,The night graphics issue is a bug in Fly2, not PMDG and that Rich Harvey was working on a patch. This has been stated many times by PMDG. I'm not defending them, just the facts.I completely agree with you regarding the paint kit. I don't understand why it hasn't been released or PMDG's lack of communication on this issue. I too would like to see additional liveries, but it doesn't look promising.....Regards,Bob Lyddy
September 30, 200223 yr Hey Guys, your friendly neighbourhood painter here. Here is my unofficial take on the situation. The paint kit, as it stands, is based on the current release model. Grant Millikan and I feel that the location of the doors and windows are a bit too low and PMDG has agreed to do some minor editing of the model to relocate them. Vin has drawn the duty to perform this work, as he was the original modeler. Vin is doing this re-work in his spare time as I believe he is now employed outside of PMDG and this new job requires most of his available computer time. Vin and Robert have emailed me on several occasions to let me know the progress on the re-work and the last communication I had was that the model was near complete with only a few cosmetic adjustments to make. As soon as this new model is available, Robert will have to decide on producing a new paint kit, either one done in house or one done by Grant and/or myself.I think the current paintkit would be a bit tough for the beginner to tackle but great results could be obtained with a bit of work. The repaints I've shown were based on modified portions of the paintkit to suit the way I work.Hope this clarifies things a bit.Pete http://www.precision...GX_Dev_Team.jpg PMDG Graphic Designer
October 1, 200223 yr Hi Pete,Thanks for your effort about the paint kit. As one of the PMDG customer 777 & 757 for FLY2 I was hoping that a word from them will shed light to this looooooong wait that we have regarding the paint kit which I believed is with-in their control and the fly2 bug fix (which I think they are partly also responsible for doing some fix). Many questions have been posted about the paintkit & the fix but, it seems to me that PMDG is mum about the issues lately, I hope even that they decided to put aside developing for FLY, they should at least have a graceful exit by addressing the unfinished business that they have with their FLY2 customers. I hope some PMDG'ers will give us a response so that we will not bug them anymore with the paintkit & the fix.chris salviejorpll
