Questions from a prospective B757 buyer...

Featured Replies

I bought the 777, when it was released, but already lost the file. I have long been away from using Fly2!, but after upgrading to a new PC, and experimenting with the Final patch, I am very happy to be able to enjoy this excellent flightsim like never before! Now, before I go ahead and decide to buy the B757, could some user enlighten me about the correction of a bug in the 777IGW that really tended to irritate me? The bug I am mentioning here was the fact that an engine "failure" on the aircraft while flying, no matter if at cruise, climb or descent, was unoticeable in terms of "yaw" towards the dead engine. The plane simply kept flying almost "straight".Is this any different in the 757?Also, how sensible is the Fligth Director? Can we "fly" the FD down the glideslope at low visibility, and crosswinds, and expect to meet the rw at an appropriate point? I have allways found MSFS and Fly implementations of automtic flight rather inadequet for most of the aircraft... Curious about what PMDG has achieved with the B757!************************************Jose Carlos [email protected] - Portugal

Jose,Just tried an Engine fail at V2 on the 757 and believe you me, there is a noticeable yaw (and roll) to the dead engine. (I'd post the pics but it wasn't pretty without my stick and throttle hooked up). As far as the F/D system, I don't have any problems with it, however I usually let the A/P make the inbound turns and get stabilized on the approach before hand flying the landing so your mileage may vary. Overall a very impressive offeringRegardsPaul:-cool
