February 28, 200323 yr Q - Will you be able to control all of the functions of the 737 from the virtual cockpit?A - No. This feature is not planned for the current version. In FS9, a virtual cockpit where you can control the aircraft from will be standard. Will you guys update the 737NG after the release of FS9 so we can get this function?I have one more question :) How can I join the beta-tester team? :-rotor
February 28, 200323 yr Commercial Member Fredrik(Not Frank!)We expect to update a few things after the release of FS9. Provided that FS9 uses a higher bit level for cockpit artwork- we will update the cockpit art in roder to enhance your viewing experience.... We will also add/expand into areas that were not available in MSFS2K2. (i.e. Interactive Virtual Cockpits.)We elected to wait on the interactive VC because we felt it would be better to implement that in the udpated MSFS platform to ensure that it would be done in a compatible fashion.Getting on the beta team is tough. For the most part we look for individuals who have specific operational experience with the airplane, or similar type aircraft. We also look for individuals with depth of experience in airliner operations and maintenance. (This helps us on the systems validation side...)Then we look for individuals within the MSFS community who have specific skills or experience that lend value to the product as a "product" not necessarily an airplane sim...And of course- we always like to pick a few at random just to round things out....We'll do that from the forum group- so everyone will have a chance. ;-)Robert S. February 28, 200323 yr >Fredrik >>(Not Frank!) ;)Its actualy nice to hear that you are skipping the interactive VC until its a part of FS. What they did with A320PIC destroyed the whole product since of the fps.Keep up the good work! I'm looking very forward to the 737NG :)
March 1, 200323 yr Hey, Well I trust PMDG's judgement on these things and I am happy to let them make decisions based on what they think is right, vecause they have the expearience, I don't! Keep up the great work..Regards, http://www.jet-precision.com/mattwork/MBANNER.jpg
