May 16, 200323 yr I have asked this question before due to the following excerpt that was in the above referenced FAQ which stated the following: "Q - Will there be a fully functional FMC?A - Yes! The FMC will be entirely functional and has been designed to be compatible with the industry standard NAVDATA information provided to the community by Richard Stefan. (Thank You, Richard for your support!)My question to the above answer is: 'Will the fully functional FMC include the ability to enter 'Winds Aloft' data at specific altitudes to better enable more accurate fuel perdictions etc. etc.'Regards again, jack noullet
May 16, 200323 yr LOL, well I don't know why they don't answer your question, but you will know soon enough if it's modelled or not! So stay tuned.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. May 16, 200323 yr Commercial Member Randy-the reason we're not answering is not that we don't like Jack, rather that we don't know the answers ourselves...The "winds aloft" functionality has to be realistic, so we won't know if it's going to make it in, until really a couple days before release of the product itself... ;-) Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
May 16, 200323 yr Sorry, was LOLing at Fredic's responce to Gremel. I see the winds aloft this way. It adjusts or compensates for head or tail winds aloft mostly for the descent phase. It's not perfect on the real bird so why make it here? There are UN forecast winds that are incountered all the time anyway. How one would have it work with Active Sky or other on line weather is beyond me. It would be nice to be able to input if we desire that function. But whether it adjusts to a certain angle or not because of winds that were put into the FMC is not a big deal. Anyway just an *opine*.......[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J.
