July 1, 200322 yr Guys,Is the empty cart error we are warned about on the "Sales Page" the one that states.Your cart is empty or you have procceeded to the checkout page. Please close you browser and return to PMDG to purchase any other items. (Or something close to that anyway?) The reason I am asking is because of the "or" in the statement. I am not sure if this is a warning for nothing in my basket, or a notice that I am proceeding with the checkout, and from this point on I need to reset the browser to add any additional items to my order.Just looking for clarification before proceeding,Scott Burke
July 1, 200322 yr I need to be sure I understand the situation correctly before I reply- Did you check the 737TNG product on the sales page, then hit purchase, and then you hit proceed to checkout? If yes, then there should have been a pop-up page where you enter your information. If no, please describe the steps you took to get to this page. Thanks!
July 1, 200322 yr Scott, many of us had this happen. The only way I found around it was to disable all internet security, allow all cookies, basically open my system to whoever might choose to attack from outside, and try again. Eventually when I felt completely naked and exposed, the correct panel appeared.- Pete
July 1, 200322 yr Author Marc,I checked the box beside the 737. It then went to a page where I selected the quantity of the 737. (which was 1) I then selected puchase which brought up a popup page where you would fill in name and credit card etc. However on the window behind it was the statement that I just showed you. I did see the NOTAMS and didn't proceed from there. I am assuming that my cart remained empty, bu because of the "or" in trhe statment I thought I may have just proceeded to a point at which to go back I would have to reload the browser. I have tried the ctr R as well as disabled my virus protection and popup protection. I am not sure about a fire wall, mainly because I am not sure what it is? I am running winXP home on a home computer with MSN DLS service.Any suggestions?Scott Burke
July 2, 200322 yr Gents,Has anyone found a silver bullet for this minor hiccup. I have tried lowering all the security settings, disabling Outpost firewall, allowing all cookies, etc. I also tried the recommended procedure on PMDG's web site. No joy. Can't get the bird.RogerKLAS/KVGT
July 2, 200322 yr Author I ignored the window behind the credit card info popup and everthing worked. Thanks Marc,Scott Burke
July 2, 200322 yr Hmm, No pop-up protection here. Perhaps I will try Scott's method and ignore the window behind the pop-up.Cheers,Roger
