How do you start the engines??

Featured Replies

OK. I'm not new to this Flight Sim thing and I've been flying Ariane's 737-300 & -500. Overhead panel layout is very similar in function. I just can't get the engines started. I have all of the fuel pumps on and the a/c packs off. I have both APU and ground power. Nothing seems to start the engines. I hit the ignition and nothing at all happens. I resorted to using the old CNTRL-E thing but couldn't get the engines to both spool up -- only the left engine would react. I'm confused. And, I also have the memory problem listed in other posts. FS2002 locked up on me when I went to print out my flight plan in FSNav4.51 while I had the 737-700 set up.Steve

Hi SteveIncluded a pictures which show pneumatic setup.Yep APU must be running, next only hit the start switch to gnd, no need toadjust ignition.http://www.goldenwings.dk/sva/air.jpgFlemming

HiYou could try switching the idle/cutoff switches on the throttle quadrant to the idle position then try try to crank em up.Make sure you have bleed air press via the overhead.Hope this helpsRon Ex Navy AE4

Steve, there are some beginners tutorials included in the documentation.

Found it. Didn't even realize it was in its own file folder under FS2002. I'll try again tomorrow after reading the information. :-lol

Got it now. Started 'em up and roared out of KIAH. What a beautiful aircraft...... Speed is more realistic IMHO than all other (overpowered) aircraft.
