I followed the directions to uninstall/install outlined and after deleting the NGX from my FSX simulator, I get the following when I attempt to install the 8900 NGX: Runtime Error! Program....PMDG_737_8900_NGX\PMDG 737 8900 NGX Base Package FSX.exe abnormal program termination What now, now that I don't have the PMDG NGX any longer? Steve Lewis

It's my sign in name why do I have to repeat it? i.e., SteveLewis = Steve Lewis signed, Steve Lewis I downloaded both the PMDG_737-8900_NGX.zip and PMDG_737-6700_NGX.zip and ran them as "Repair". I don't have the Operations Center in my Start Menu. Do I have to reboot my PC or something? Steve Lewis

OK, I deleted two files (*.evpOrg & Evp_Accelerated.gvp) then compiled. That worked. Didn't have to extract the files from the original discs. Thanks. Steve

Unfortunately, I can not restore the file. Should I follow the directions when it says: "In case you experience any problems with the ATC sound in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight please try to restore the original voicepack file from your Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight CD number 2. The file is inside the file "MSGame5.cab" for the 10 voice (full) setup, and inside the "MSGame4.cab" file for the three voice (compact) setup. Copy one of these files (do not copy both) to the Sound directory under the Flight Simulator directory. In case the Sound directory contains files named *.evpOrg or Evp_Accelerated.gvp they should be deleted." In my sound folder I have 4 files: USEnglishASOS.gvp --- from 2002 USEnglishBig.gvp.evpOrg --- from 2011 USEnglishBig.gvp --- from this morning (???) EvpAccelerated.gvp -- from this morning 3 minutes later I'm still getting the error message. I'm wondering if I should delete all 4 of these files and copy over the original ATC sounds from Disc 2 like stated in the Troubleshooting guide, then recompile. Steve

I've been at FS for a long time but this is a new error code in Editvoicepack to me (If this goes in another Forum, Moderator please move it): I imported a bunch of MAIW voicepacks today and got the following error: "Cannot create a file when that file already exists." I've gone thru the process three times now and get the same error every time. There are no duplicates in the pack when I try to update my voicepack in the FAA and accelerated method. Steve Lewis

I can't find an answer to this question: In the 2D panel, just where is the Fuel Cutoff Lever (normally behind the throttles). I can't even find the throttles in the 2D panel. Steve Lewis

Just purchased the NGX and on initial load the engines were running. My FSX is set up such that the a/c should always start in a cold & dark state. I've looked in Tutorial #1 but can't seem to get an .ini to set up the c&d environment. Am I missing something here?Steve LewisAIG Dispatch North America

I had this problem about a month ago. After searching the web and the forums I tried moving the most recent flightplans I had installed (about 2 weeks worth) to my Temp folder. FSX then started without the error. I added the traffic.bgls one by one until one caused the issue. I deleted that one and redownloaded it and haven't had the problem since. Here's how to fix that:In the kbd.ini file located at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\FeelThere\Erj\kbd.ini the last line says,fms_kbd=3,75 This equates to CNTR-SHFT-KChange it to read fms_kbd=0,0.I did this in my FSX set up and it allows my Co-Pilot to have the comms and doesn't seem to change the FMS at all. The section of the manualdiscussing this is on Page 5 and reads, "FMS keyboard modeYour computer keyboard can be made to operate the FMS by clicking the top left screw on theCDU, or by using the keystroke <CTRL>+<SHIFT>+<K>. This being done you can directlytype into the FMS using your computer keyboard."Since I use my mouse to type into the FMS, I don't need this function and fms_kbd=0,0 is ok.Hope that helps.Steve Lewis

My vote is for McPhat liveries for the 145XR -- say Continental Express and Expressjet. I don't fly in VC so the yoke is no bother to me at all. Love this plane. It's the best so far imho.

Bought it yesterday and have 2 flights so far. Major improvement over the initial FT ERJ. The only problem I have is that I can't seem to get my copilot in Radar Contact to handle the comms........ :( The installed copilot calls out the checklists, etc. but using it I lose the RC copilot. Anyone know how to reconfigure it so I can? It's a little hard hitting CNTR-SHFT-1 all the time...... :( Steve Lewis

Got it fixed. Downloaded MakeRunways.exe v4.35 and reinstalled it. It ran and everything looks ok now. RC is up and running. I did edit r4.csv in Excel and not notepad so that was the problem. Thanks!Steve Lewis

Today I fired up FSX to take a run from Omaha to Newark. I got the following error message from RCv4: "Run-time error '6': RadarContact.rcv4module.get_departure_information."Background: I've been working very hard on a FSX AFCAD for Omaha (KOMA). It is interesting in that they have closed the main runway (14R-32L) after lengthening 14L-32R and adding ILS to 14L. I've captured all of that in my AFCAD and I thought it was working properly but RC would not give me the proper ILS frequency for 14L on arrival although it was there in the Sim. Landed on 14L and thought I had it done correctly. On departure, today, I got the error message above.Here's (probably) what I did incorrectly: I manually edited the r4.csv file to include the proper length and frequencies for 14L-32R and put the freqs for 14R-32L as 0. (You can't eliminate the ILS frequency from a stock runway using ADE.) Should I have included the freqs for 14R-32L in r4.csv? Should not MakeRunways search out the AFCADS for runways, etc? I ran the latest version of MakeRunways.exe but it did not seem to catch the changes in KOMA. I'm looking for some guidance on what to try/do next.Thanks in advance.Steve LewisKOMA

I was looking to take a hop in the PMDG 737-700 (C40) but can't locate the call sign "Navy" in my choice menu. The Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, and Marines are all there but the Navy must be on Deployment . How do I add it as a choice? I seem to recall it being there previously but it's been quite a while since I flew a Navy mission with FS9.Any help will be appreciated.Steve LewisCAPT USNR (Ret)

I don't know. My refresh rate is 85 and I still get only around 12-25 fps with everything maxxed out. (85 is the max my KDS monitor will support).

I've recalibrated the CH Yoke and CH Pedals but haven't been able to fly since I wrote the above question. I'll try tonight. We've been out of town.Thanks~

I've searched for an answer to this but couldn't find it so here goes: I've recently gon back to flying the PMDG 737-800 in FS9. Everything works just great except the a/c taxis at about 40 kts even with the throttle closed. If I hit F1, N1 goes down to approx 25% and the a/c will stop with the throttles closed. If I even up the throttle a bit, the a/c goes back to 40 kts. I have to drag my toe brakes to hold the speed down.I remember that the NG is supposed to taxi with the throttles closed so some toe brake is required but the difference between 15 kts and 40 is substantial. Any help will be much appreciated.Thanks
