July 4, 200322 yr I'm rather new to the FMC.. I'm used to flying the plane manually, even the PMDG 737s..Is there a tutorial where I can fully learn the functions of the FMC and how to program the essentials, or will this be covered in the soon-to-be-released manual?
July 4, 200322 yr go to your FS2002Pmdg737tngDoc_source and double click on index.html. Click on tutorials, and then under 'beginners' click on FCM Tutorial. That should get you started :D
July 4, 200322 yr BTW, forgot to mention: PMDG Forum rules stipulate signing all posts with your real name, thanks!
July 4, 200322 yr Oh right, I forgot to mention that..That tutorial offered doesn't exactly cover everything available in the FMC, I noticed, such as the Approach screen.. I'm hesitant to push the VNAV button on the autopilot, and I'm always doing things manually..This was my real question: is there a more in-depth FMC tutorial, or will that be in the manual to be released 06.07.03?Tim!
July 4, 200322 yr Tim, the FMC is a very complex computer if one does not have an idea on how to operate it correctly. I would spend the time waiting for the manuals using the A/P etc, they go hand in hand and this aircraft's A/P is not the same as default MS A/Ps. [h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. July 4, 200322 yr Will do!I was just wondering if there is a complete FMC guide available now that I could go through, to get rid of some of this energy I have from the high of 737NG exhaust fumes.. :DTim
July 4, 200322 yr I would be carefull about that in that they are not identical (Wilco's 767 FMC), if you keep that in mind sure go for it, it will give you an idea of thepages etc and what they do.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J.
