July 4, 200322 yr When I try to install the 737NG, after about 5 seconds I get a messages asking to install the Installation Disk2. What is this?I have all the installation files in the same folder, the .exe installer has been extracted there and I've tried pasting the address of the folder where they are into the Sourcepath box (on the installation disk message), but no luck? Please help!Thank you,Eoin Sutton
July 4, 200322 yr Hi,I tried that, didn't work. I think it may have something to do with the fact that when I downloaded the first W02 file, I tried to open it (out of curiosity) and used Wordpad. It is now associated with Wordpad, so that may cause a conflict...but it is still a W02 file...?EDIT: No, it doesn't have anything to do with the wordpad association, I just managed to remove it myself but I still get the same error, Please help PMDG!Eoin.P.S. I'm not d/ling again, I'm on 56k!
July 4, 200322 yr It doesn't matter if it is associated with word-pad.And now the bad news :(. If you opened the file with wordpad and then saved it, then it will be corrupted and the only option is to download it again.RegardsRussell Jourdain (NZL007/ZK-RHJ)
July 4, 200322 yr Hallo,>> P.S. I'm not d/ling again, I'm on 56k!Tja.. I suggest you to download it again, sorry, without using wordpad afterwards *lol*. Maybe the file is damaged...
July 4, 200322 yr Well I didn't save it that's for sure, Russell. I'm still baffled by this though...Eoin
July 4, 200322 yr The only suggestion left, other than to download again ('cos ot might be corrupt) is to wait for the PMDG support people to come on-line and see what answers they give.Sorry I can't help you much more.RegardsRussell Jourdain (NZL007/ZK-RHJ)P.S. Have you done a search on this forum for disk 2 - I think there was an other message at some stage.
July 4, 200322 yr After you unzip the file extract the .exe into your FS2002 directory (don't run it yet)Then copy the other three files into your FS2002 directoryNow run the .exe file from the FS2002 directory and it should not ask for disk 2.-Russ-
