July 15, 200322 yr Probably because the -600s weren't produced with airstairs :) Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
July 15, 200322 yr Good Morning Guys & Girls,I asked this question to our technical department at Britannia Airways in Luton and they said Boeing offer options, just like when you buy a car and of course the airline would have to select the stairs option.I work for Britannia Airways, and we have a number of Boeing 737 series 800 and all but two have built in stairs...A friend who works for Air Europa out of Majorca has said that they are looking for Boeing 737-600's with stairs, as all their Boeing 737's have stairs. Airlines often take this option when they know they will operate the aircraft into airports that may not have such good ground agents. Whenever I fly on our company B738's we find by having our built in stairs we knock at least ten minutes of the turn around (based on operations in Greece & some airports in Turkey).Warm RegardsKimberly. :-outta
July 15, 200322 yr Commercial Member The reason we did not produce a 600 with airstairs is because we only produced airplanes and liveries that are actually in service today. If Boeing offers the 600 with airstairs, not one of the small handfull of airlines that actually fly the 600 has equipped their airplanes with that option.VinPMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.vinscimone.com/dancnkid.gif Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
