July 25, 200322 yr This is very frustrating. I re-installed the 737 to FS9 and unchecked the FS2002 stuff. I have FSUIPC3 installed and registered. I have the gdidll (win2k) installed. The startup splash screen gives me the Mag var warning then goes nuts if I ignore it. The same thing happens with FS2002 now. I actually had to shutdown win2k which is very rare! grrrrrrr. What is the proper method to un-install and start fresh? I'm aware I can remove the optionsdll and run the sims. Where are the registry entries? as I can't see them listed under PMDG?Thanks in advanceBobP Bob Prince
July 25, 200322 yr Commercial Member Dear Bob-Please wait a couple days for the patch to appear. This should solve your issues. Thanks, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
July 25, 200322 yr I know what this is, it happened to me. The FS9 install has probably screwed your registry entry for FS2002. Open up regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMICROSOFTMICROSOFT GAMESFLIGHT SIMULATOR8.0On the right side under EXE path make sure it reads the correct location for your FS2002, If not, right click on EXE path, choose "modify" and enter the correct location. This fixed the problem for me.regardsTimhttp://www.cambridgeflyingclub.com/images/timavatar2.jpg
July 25, 200322 yr Author Hi Tim,Thank you, that fixed it for FS2002. I get the "danger danger Will Robinson" module warning now when starting FS9, which I understand will be fixed with the patch. Easy work-around, just jerk the pmdgoptions module out. Thanks again.BobP :) Bob Prince
July 26, 200322 yr Bob, Open your fs9.cfg folder which will be in your root C drive folder this time somewhere like C:Documents and SettingsbobApplication DataMicrosoftFS9fs9.cfgAnd somewhere in there make an entry that saysold modules <---(square brackets around this)PMDGOptions.dll=1FSSound.dll=1 (always useful, if you ever put this module in there)That'll stop the message.RegardsTimhttp://www.cambridgeflyingclub.com/images/timavatar2.jpg
