Hello PMDG,Just had a nice flight, and I'm posting some comments about the current state of the aircraft.1. Landing lights are too bright and wash out everything. If the landing lights looked like the taxi lights do now, and the taxi lights were dimmer, it'd be great. Not sure how much control you have over that.2. Kinda disappointed in the clickable VC - even if you're not going to enable every switch and button (I can understand that), there are a few controls that make VC flying very pleasant: landing, taxi, and strobe lights, as well as engine starters are all nice to have when you're entering or leaving the runway and don't want to block your whole view with the 2D overhead. I'd really appreciate it if those could be added.3. When I switch to the 737, the fuel levers are always left in the ON position - better speak to the previous crew about that ;)4. An audio control panel seems to still be missing, and I think a lot of folks would agree that that's pretty standard in most FS aircraft and pretty important to flying (even if you just want ATIS on COM2)5. Is the caution panel a bit wonky? I seem to have to cancel the caution and then click the annunciator panel (I guess that tests the lamps) before I can see what the actual cautions are. Otherwise it pretty much just stays black.6. The panel lighting on the overhead is nice, but it's a bit bright on the main panel - I know this has been covered all over this forum, and thanks for putting the switch in, but if we could turn on backlighting and then flood lighting independently it would be super.7. The logo light switch does nothing to the logo light.8. At night the the backgrounds of the readouts on the MCP are a little off in 2D and VC. 9. In VC the main panel is lit, but the overhead is dark.10. The backup speed tape doesn't agree with the PFD. Seems as though the current airspeed is lined up with the right edge of the tape, rather than the middle where it should be.11. Minor thing (I can probably fix this myself, but you might want to adjust it in the next update) -- the eyepoint in the VC is a little low - can't see too much out the window!12. Speed brake retraction still doesn't work. All for now, keep up the great work.Thanks,Greghttp://members.rogers.com/gmoffatt/images/ERJ_CRT.jpg

Hi Greg,I just wanted to say that I too would like to see the viewpoint of the VC changed if possible. I posted about this in another thread(copied over below). I should note that I'm pretty new to this aircraft and never even used the pre-patched version of it, but it seems like a real sweet bird so far! I have to read some manuals, hehe."Hi,I just wanted to say, that I'm not having any frame rate problems with the 2D or VC panel views. But when in the VC I feel like an 4 year old that needs a high chair. All I can see is panel, unless maybe I take a very steep dive, or look completely to the left or right. Ok, of course I can pan up and see the front windows, but what I mean is when I do that I cannot seen any ground unless I take a very steep dive. I feel that a good part of the reason to be in VC is to be able to pan around and look at the scenery, including directly in front of you. If I were sitting up higher in the VC I could always pan down to look at and interact my panel. Anyone else feel this way?"Also, I feel the trim adjustment is heavy handed. It would be nice if others that feel this way(if there are any) would chime in.Thanks,Jimmy Richards

Guys- For now you can use SHIFT ENTER to lower and SHIFT BACKSPACE to raise in the VC...[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. And I think there are parameters in the aircraft.cfg that allow you to make it permanent... at least there was in 2002. I'll probably look into that tomorrow. If anybody's fixed it already, please post your numbers!Thanks,Ghttp://members.rogers.com/gmoffatt/images/ERJ_CRT.jpg

Hi,Ok Randy. Thanks. I didn't know that keyboard command, but it's probably in the FS2004 manual somewhere. Also, I believe I found a way to adjust the heavy handed trim adjustment effectiveness. In case anyne is interested, go into your 'aircraft.cfg' file and look for this line...elevator_trim_effectiveness=1.000and adjust it to 0.500, or perhaps lower.Hope that helps anyone that is interested in trying to change it. Seemed to help me out. Thanks Again Randy, :-)Jimmy Richards"Variable, this is EasyRhino. Do you copy? Over." Loud and clear EasyRhino. "Do we have a gig? Over." That's a Roger, we have a gig. Target is painted, start the music. "Roger that Variable. Into attack. Pickling target. Target is acquired and lit. LGB comin' down!" EasyRhino, circular error probability zero. Impact with High Order Detonation. Thank You, have a nice day.

Hi Again,Randy, I just really wanted to say...Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!Just what I was looking for. You gave me my high chair! :D I find myself going up and down now. Up to look out the front windows, and down to pan over and look out the side windows. I see now that this is on the kneeboard under view commands, but I didn't know about it until you told me!I really appreciate the helping hand,Jimmy Richards
