how do i have to insert airways in the fms ?thanks for your help.

This is off the top of my head, but here goes.When you have entered the departure and arrival airports in the ROUTE page one, press the NEXT PAGE key. There you must enter the fixes on the right-hand side and airways on the left. In other words if you are to join airway J001 at waypoint EXAMPL and will leave it at TESTR (all fictitious for this example) simply enter EXAMPL with LSK1R followed by J001 and LSK2L. You

Tord is correct, airways are always entered on the RTE page in the VIA line, say leaving boeing field ;) enter J1 in VIA and you will be prompted for the end of the airway with BOXES (Boxes are Manditory entries for the FMC ) so you would put AVE in the TO line.
