FS2002 lockups

Recommended Posts

I have had FS2002 Pro since it came out. I have had very few lockups. Yesterday I was flying DFW-SEA in the old Paul Golding DC9 & panel. I just started my descent when the hard drive went nuts & I got the old FS can't continue error. Today I tried the same flight, same plane, same route. I did not use FSmeteo or any real weather, everything else was the same. At almost the same place, right after I started my descent, I hit the GPS button & POW!! FS exited without even a error message or the hard drive going crazy. I am running a P3/800 w/ 256K ram, TNT2 32 meg video with the Nvidia 29.42 drivers. Any ideas? This seems to be a very selective problem.Pat Callaghan

The same thing happened to me. Usually no lock ups, and then yesterday FS just exited twice without any errors...The only difference here is the dramatic change in weather In the last few weeks temparature has been up to 90 degrees...I beleive the sudden change in temperature is beginning to overheat my PCI had to wait until later in the evening when it was cooler..FS then began to function normally without any lockupsGuess we have to find another way to keep it Kool..Well, thats my two cents...Good LuckTroy
