SU1 Install Problems

Featured Replies

First, I searched for SU1 install problems and read all of the results. I did not find this one. (Maybe I missed it). I attempted to run SU1 and when I came to the part where I choose the Destination Folder, I saw this: Destination Folder C:..Microsoft GamesFlight Simulator 9Now, I just installed FS9 but only (yet) have the 737NG in FS2002. So, I chose Browse. I chose my FS2002 root directory and then saw this: Destination Folder C:..FS2002Flight Simulator 9Basicly, it will not allow me to choose my FS2002 folder to install the patch. :-hmmm :-hmmm I don't understand this problem. This is the first installation I've ever done where I can't choose the installation folder. Can I just edit it by erasing the Flight Simulator 9??? Sorry if this has been asked before but I really couldn't find any evidence of it.

Yes Steve, you are 100% OK in removing the last part of the pathname that is incorrect, and the NG will install properly.

Thanks, Fred. I did manage to install the 737NG & SU1 & Continental/Aloha/SAS liveries in FS9..... Lookin' Good. With the weather in FS9, don't know if I need FS2002.... :-lol Steve

Steve,Good to hear you got it working :) I agree about the weather, it is soooo good. I have completely uninstalled FS2002, FS9 impressed me so much. My original intentions were to keep FS2002 and FS9 on my HDD simultaniously so that I could play 767 PIC without any compromises, but after spending time in FS9, I thought 'oh well, it ain't that bad' and I went ahead and installed 767 PIC to my FS9 dir, and I haven't looked back :)
