Sure Fred,why not something which covers more advanced FMC functions, wpts abeam, custom wpts in the style fix{rad}{dist}Fix{rad}{dist} or any variation thereof.speed and altitude restrictions, activation of functions on the CLB/CRZ/DES pages.And if you're thinking of part 3.... :) how about SID/STAR programing...In any case thanks a lot for your efforts! I am happy as a clam - I just did the tutorial (torturial) flight and everything worked as advertised....just one small correction was needed to intercept the GS...but otherwise smooth as silk.Without your valuable comments - I don't think I would ever have figured the CDU/FMC out....Now we only need a condensed "crib sheet" for all the steps involved...and of course all the STARs and SIDs, which I guess we have to wait for PMDG to generate.Thanks again!

I have had a small problem with this (but big for the passengers :-)).Followed the instructions to the letter but went over KLAX at 10,000 feet.Any idea what the problem could be?

Bill -Very odd. The only thing I can think of that would cause something like this would be not descending in VNAV mode, and/or not inserting that 240 slowdown constraint on the DES page of the FMC.

Thanks for the replyHappened twice but nil desperandum - we shall try again tonight. I am a bit new at this technical malarkey so have probably made a horlicks somewhere.Just as an aside - is it possible to save flight plans for future use once they have been entered into the FMC and if so how.
