August 20, 200322 yr Open FSUIPC.ini file, in the modules folder and check if this line says:MagicBattery=YesWith this setting your battery probably won't run dry. This works for the unregistered version.Best regards,Gerrit Kranenbarg Gerrit
August 20, 200322 yr Author If that still ain't working, this will for shure.Change the minimum voltage value which is usually 17.0 to 0.0Batterypower can't get below 0 so this trick will prevent batteryloss.In the aircraft.cfg it should look like this,(electrical);BusType, MaxAmpLoad, MinVoltage flap_motor = 0, 5 , 0.0gear_motor = 0, 5 , 0.0autopilot = 0, 5 , 0.0avionics_bus = 0, 5, 0.0avionics = 1, 5 , 0.0pitot_heat = 0, 2 , 0.0additional_system = 0, 2, 0.0marker_beacon = 1, 2 , 0.0gear_warning = 0, 2 , 0.0fuel_pump = 0, 5 , 0.0starter1 = 0, 20, 0.0light_nav = 0, 5 , 0.0light_beacon = 0, 5 , 0.0light_landing = 0, 5 , 0.0light_taxi = 0, 5 , 0.0light_strobe = 0, 5 , 0.0light_panel = 0, 5 , 0.0Cheers, Gerrit Gerrit

August 23, 200322 yr Author You start a cold and dark situation if you saved your last flight cold and dark. When starting fs or selecting another plane you will always have 23 volts batterypower available which will decrease untill it gets below 17V which is the minimum voltage in most aircraft.cfg files. The zero volt trick i recommended will extend battery life but when at 0, unfortunally drydead battery also :(What worked for me was this line in the aircraft.cfg just below (ELECTRICAL)electric_always_available=1Regards, Gerrit Kranenbarg Gerrit
