Auto throttle key & button mapping...

Recommended Posts

Guest charlie130

Hello.I am very happy after SU 1.1 - Great work, thanks. Now, can anyone tell me if it is possible to map a key or button on my joystick to disconnect the auto throttle? I have tried doing it via the assignments menu in the simulator, but it seems to have no effect on the auto throttle switch in PMDG 737. I want to be able to chuck the A/T out during the last stages of manual land, and it's a bit of a handfull doing it with the mouse! :)Thanks in advance,C130.

Hello: Yes it is. There is a utility available at the Wideview web site which maps any key, (well, almost), to a mouse click. You can then assign the key to a button on the appropriate joystick. I have it and use it for A/T, autopilot disconnect and TO/GA. I just can't remember the name of it right now. Maybe a search at Google... Keith Whyte

Thanks from me too. I knew about this little proggie, but never thought it would work since hitting the 'z' key didn't disconnect my AP. Just gave me an aural alert but didn't actually disconnect. Gonna try nevertheless.
