What does "PTH DES UNAVAILABLE" mean. After setting a lower alt, just before TOD, The aircraft goes into a '3000 desent at TOD and that Message appears in the FMC.Dave FisherCYYZ

Doesn't it mean that the aircraft isn't able to meet your next altitude constraint without exceeding a certain V/S. Can't remember offhand what the limit is but I think I've seen it mentioned here somewhere before.
