FMC reset possible ?

Featured Replies

Hi all !First of all i must say that i love your aircraft. After the pain with the latest PSS Airbus A330 and A340 release it is a realy plessure to fly your 737-700 with success and without any big problems. Now to my question.... how can i reset the FMC in a "Turnaround" without switching engines and batteries off ? I was searching for a reset function but still don't found it.Kind regards,Christian Nitzschewww.Flugfunktrainer.de

ChristianThe flight plan route can be reset by DELeting the origin airport on the RTE page. Hope it helps,

"The flight plan route can be reset by DELeting the origin airport on the RTE page."Is this possible on the real aircraft? I seem to recall that the departure airport can only be overwritten with either the same or a new departure airport.I know that you can dump all the information in the 737NG by swapping over the Nav Database dates, but this doesn't seem to be an option in PMDG. I was quite surprised to see this on the real 737NG. On other aircraft, usually only some of the pilot-entered data is erased.Cheers.Ian.

If you mean a turn around as in reversing your original route, that will be possible soon and is on the real FMC ;) [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Hi !With "Turnaround" i mean that at the gate my pax will leave the airplane and new come in for the next trip to heaven ...hehe ;-)At these time i have to reset (clear) all datas in the FMC, MCPand PFD from the old flight and must program the new ones. But "reversing the original route" sounds to be a cool FMC feature.Kind regardsChristian Nitzschewww.Flugfunktrainer.de

Lot of times the return leg does not match the reverse of the previous routeing. Please keep dispatchers working...All the best,Dino Giannasi
