September 7, 200322 yr Transitions are simply a term used to decribe the different entry points on a Star or exit points on a SID.For example, the Pullman 4 arrival into Chicago O'hare, there is a FNT transition.Meaning if you were to take the PULL4.FNT STAR, you'd join the STAR at the FLINT VOR.These screenies above show how the FMC now displays these like the FMC in reality.Hope this helps ;)JohnP 2.53 GHZ512 RAMWINXPGFORCE 4 128MB Ti4600http://homepage.eircom.net/~eamonnmca/images/logo_ba.JPGwww.bavirtual.co.uk Senior Captain Simflight.com Staff Reviewerhttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg
September 7, 200322 yr Okay, one last question then. Don't you already join a star on its first waypoint?I see STAR's on FSNavigator, simply a series of waypoints.
September 7, 200322 yr >Okay, one last question then. Don't you already join a star>on its first waypoint?>>I see STAR's on FSNavigator, simply a series of waypoints. Some STAR's have MANY first waypoints, depending on where you are coming from.Or, put another way, a STAR typically has one or more routes leading from the enroute airway structure, that funnels to a single route that terminates in the terminal airspace. The routes that funnel in from the enroute airspace are usually called transitions.
September 7, 200322 yr Hi Ray,In the next update, no.In a next phase, maybe. No promises. Priorities...You can CRZ CLIMB, though. It works as expected, except the title of the CRZ page does not display ACT CRZ CLB, and resetting the MCP alt to a higher alt does not insert the new alt in the scratchpad if you're ACT CRZ and displaying the CRZ page.anthonyAnthony MertonPrecision Manuals Developmenthttp://www.precisionmanuals.com
