ATI Drivers

Featured Replies

Flightsim.com says that the new ATI drivers fix the problem in FS9. I have installed them and still have the same problems. Has anyone got the new drivers to fix the problem in FS9?John Gaffney

I have no idea why FS.com posted that story - it's completely not true - it even says in the driver readme that the FS2004 issues won't be fixed until a later version.Ryan

Hi Ryan, the author of that item has published some other fairly strange articles on FS.com recently, including an advert for Dell and a 'tutorial' on how to set up a Radeon 9800 to get rid of the flickers, which basically boiled down to maxing out every graphics card and FS setting. Why he claims that the new driver fixes problems, which, according to him, did not exist when using his settings, is beyond me.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg

I have the ATI 9800, and installed the new 3.7 driver. While definately not a complete fix, on my machine it has cut down the flickering by about 60%.Mike F.2.4 Ghz, 1G DDR RAM, ATI 9800, WIndows XP

Hi Mike,Good to hear that it improved things for you. On my system (Radeon 9800Pro 128, P4 2.8 GHz HT, 1 GB DDR, P4P800 Deluxe) no improvement whatsoever. If anything slightly worse image quality. As far as I am concerned the statements on allnodesarebusy.com are plain nonsense.Cheers,Henri
