Removing "PARKING BRAKES-PRESS PERIOD(.)TO RELEASE" Msg.

Featured Replies

Is it possible to remove the above message by editing a MSFS file? Sometimes it prevents me seeing the "MZALFOTRI" selections. I read somewhere recently (here?) that you could remove these kinds of messages.Thanks!Cheers.Ian.

Ian,add this to the main FS cfgshow_brake_message=0Regards,Bob JonesPrecision Manuals Development [email protected]

Hi Ian,Good to see you also here !! We are both far from our "home-forum".....Add this line:HideInfoText=1Under the < MAIN > section of your fs2002.cfg fileHessel Oostenp.s. All messages can also be selective removed if you wish. That requires some hex-editing of the english.fll file in the root directory and is also simple although it sounds complicated. Let me know if you want that. The hiddeinfo removes all anoying messages.

"Ian, add this to the main FS cfgshow_brake_message=0"Thanks, Bob... I don't know what I was doing wrong, but when I added this line to the end of my CFG file, the brake msg was still there. When I checked the config file after shutting down FS, my added line had disappeared. Tried it a few times.Anyhow, I tried Hessel's suggestion and now everything is sweet. You can never have enough realism ;-)Thanks guys!Cheers.Ian.

Thanks, Hessel... Worked like magic!"Good to see you also here !! We are both far from our "home-forum"....."Variety is the spice of life, they say ;-) Unfortunately, I'm spreading myself a little thin(ly).... I'm going cross-eyed trying to answer/post questions on five different forums *:-*So little time, so much to learn ;-)Thanks again.Cheers.Ian.
