September 21, 200322 yr Hi folks again...well slowly getting there with FSBUILD and the PMDG aircraft. However I have this strange thing happening when I reach around 30,000 feet and upwards. Basically at what ever height the vapour tarils start I get the normal vapour trail as per a real aircraft leading straight back from the engines. :(However there are two additional vapour trails leading back from the engines and then falling below the aircraft until they touch the ground / surface . Any ideas as to whats up and has anyone else experienced these problems. :)It doesnt affect anything at all just looks odd and not realistic. :(Juan JAGGlasgow BA Technician Engineering :)
September 22, 200322 yr my be a video driver prob.the only time i saw something like that was at a low alt. with the SF.260 and smoke system on.
September 22, 200322 yr Thats strange cause i have the same card as you. An ATI 9700 Pro.Do you think its work uninstalling my drivers and then reinstalling lets say the ones you have . where did you go for the drivers thats you have on your PC ? The ATI site a guess. Let us know what u thinkRegards Juan JAG
September 22, 200322 yr Juan,I'm not able to solve your problem, just to confirm I have exactly the same issue. A normal vapour trail and another one leading (nicely curved though)into the ground.I'm not sure this is unique to the PMDG 737NG, will have to try with the stock 737.I also have an ATI Radeon, the 9800 pro 128MB in this case. I recently upgraded to the latest drivers available on ATI.comSeems that all the ATI issues with FS9 have not been resolved in this new driver. Really makes me wonder about the $399 I spend on this thing. If anyone has any suggestions they are welcome.Kind regards,JohanNetherlands
September 22, 200322 yr OK, just a quick update. Tested this in the stock 737 and same problem occurs. Seems to be a (ATI) video glitch, definitely not a PDMG problem.Rgrds,JohanNetherlands

When I did this, I noticed that one of them (can't remember) was 2001. So, I went back to the installation disk (disk 1 actually), and copied and pasted the fx_contrail files back to the Effects folder in fs9.
