What is this rumble sound? and QNH

Featured Replies

... that i hear even when clicking Q button? how can I turn it off?And is it possible to have QNH/29.xx switch? Thanks

Moshe,If you're using FS9, changing your sound settings from High to Mid might cure this. I remember having the same sound occur and I think I remember changing the sound settings which helped eliminate it. As for the second part, I haven't a clue as to what you're refering to. Can you give me some more info?:-spacecraft

About the sound, question is, what is causing the sound? a sound file from PMDG or flight simulator internal sound? Also, there seems to be "fan" sounds, PMDG_fans.wav that plays when I switch to Medium, and does not quiet when I press Q.About QNH, I am talking about altimiter, in europe they use 1033 QNH settings instead of 29.92 (QNF) format.

Hi MosheRe. QNH:On the EFIS control panel (to the left of the MCP on the glare shield) you have a two axis knob with push switch (top right one) that controls how your altitude is handled.Outer/bottom knob changes between InHg (ALT) and hPa (QNH).Inner/top knob sets the current barometric pressure (plus and minus sign)Push the knob and you toggle between barometric pressure and standard pressure. All these knobs has mouse click areas. Try to find them, it can be a bit trickyHope it helps,
