September 26, 200322 yr Randy...(at the risk of repeating what I and others have already said on the forum...)... :-)The Magenta bug on the MASI will not move by itself from V2 unless you engage the A/P (changing the mode to FLCH) or move the IAS/MACH knob one click. This has been confirmed by real pilots. You may be able to use the Search keywords "one click" to help you find these postings. In TOGA mode, don't confuse FD commands of "V2+20" with what the MASI bug is showing you (This is the same for 737NG's, 767's and 747-400's, although the other 2 Boeing types don't have the one click option).Cheers.Ian.
September 26, 200322 yr Author Yeah lol, 1 out of 2 ain't bad hehehe (White bug is CORRECT NOW) not disapearing Until FIRST flap retraction. You had me thinking whether I has touched it or not but I did not. Oh well it's gonna get right! [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. September 30, 200322 yr >> Well, takeoff with flaps 5 and compare it to my shot on the>PFD...>Yeah I did exactly that and hence my posting saying I saw no difference! :-rollAs for the white bug not disappearing until first flap retraction, it's not possible to tell that from your picture as you still have flaps 5 set. Does the white bug now appear during the takeoff roll and not just when airborne?I can't believe this simple issue about the magenta bug staying at V2 for takeoff while FD pitches for V2+20 is still causing confusion!
September 30, 200322 yr Le I thought that AoA was always refered to in 'units' as opposed to degrees.Tim
