September 29, 200322 yr Will someone have a look who flies the 737 and tell me where I am making my mistakes. Have used a file called cdutrm0310.zip which has all th sids. These seem to be different than the Jepp charts I have - but the Jepp charts could be out of date.
September 29, 200322 yr Parts of the egcc sid/stars where updated in March 2003. Have a look at my site, I have written a sid/star file for EGCC http://homepage.ntlworld.com/simon.butler2...usefulfiles.htmand see how the two files compare.I've finished EGGP too and will upload this one during the week.Simon
September 29, 200322 yr Author Thanks Simon I think yours are a lot better. Will put your site in favourites.
September 30, 200322 yr Hi Simon,I got a technical one for you. Unless my Jeppesen charts are outdated it seems that all sids for EGLL include noise abatment preferential routes with an initial climb to 580 feet. If you take a look at the following SID for DETLING runway 27l:SID DET2G RNW 27L KEEP HDG UNTIL 1 FROM NAVAID ILL HDG 260 INTERCEPT RADIAL 320 FROM NAVAID EPM NAVAID EPM FIX DET32 FIX DET29 6000 FIX DET05 6000 NAVAID DETit looks like you skipped the 580 feet constraint. I am wondering if this is because of the syntax limitation. Another altitude constraint should be added (if my charts are current) which is 5000 feet at DET 32. A final one is "HDG 260" necessary should not the path initiate the turn directly to intercept radial 320 from EPM?. Michael
September 30, 200322 yr Hello MichaelYou are right about the initial climb to 580ft, I have included it in almost all the sids apart from about 3 from memory. There were problems when including it in this one, again from memory. The latest CAA chart for the DET2G SID has the DET32 waypoint as 5000ft or above, as soft constraints are not possible at the moment I have left this out. Similarly EPM is 4000ft or above.Once the service update 2 is released I will look again at the sid/stars files and try to improve them, I have tried to work around the 'sharp' turns, which arent idea at the moment.
