October 6, 200322 yr It seems like I no sooner get past one issue I am stumbling onto something else.Let me explain. First, I started flying Tim's tutorial again in an effort to better understand the sophistication of the 737NG FMC. After leveling off at 15000, and passing SAVOY, I reset the HDG to 150 and the ALT to FL290 on the MCP and pressed LVL CHG. While the A/C was climbing I went to the LEGS page and selected MYERZ and DIRECT and selected LNAV. I hit the EXEC before changing the ALT (/290), so I made the change after pressing EXEC. Since the MCP ALT had 15000 displayed I then changed it to 33000 and pressed VNAV but nothing happened except "CHECK MCP ALT". After reading all I could find about this subject on the Forum I finally gave up and reset the sim and started over.During the configuring of the FMC I ran into "Time Error Tolerance" when pressing the "Perf Init" LSKR6. What is about? Not knowing what to do about this error I finally abort my FS9 session to write the posting.I would really like to solve these issues and move on to some flying. I guess this sim is a whole lot more realistic than the DF737 I flew for well over two years because I never had as many problems configuring the FMC on it as I have with the PMDG model.I would really like to know what is not working with the sim and then the answers to these errors. I ask it in this way for a good reason. If some of the problems are related to the sim, fine! But if they are operator error then I need to look for more detailed training to overcome my frustration in learning this sim. Thanks,Scott

Set MCP hit LVL CH or V/SUsing FMC, SET FMC ALT CRZ then MCP ALT then HIT EXEC[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/196432/winglets_lg.jpg Randy J Smith
October 30, 200322 yr Randy,I just ran into this bloody RTA issue again! Damn! I why can one not clear the FMC and start fresh? Why is it the FMC will let you enter something that creates an error somewhere else? I can not imagine the real item will allow this to take place. Here is the set up!KIAH to KLFTThe first problem is "KIAH err: 08 rwy unknown" Why! Why! Why! Why! is this happening?????? I never had this kind of problem with the DF734!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Next - LCH 290/FL230LFK 295/FL230RX-22L 240/3526RW22LI hit the PERF INIT> and get this!ACT PERF LIMITSTIME ERROR TOLERANCE30 SEC AT RTA WPT210/0.400 - CLB - 340/0.820210/0.400 - CRZ - 340/0.820210/0.400 - DES - 340/0.820...and I can go no farther! NOW WHAT? Why does this have to be so complicated? What is there nothing to prevent one from making invalid entries?I have wasted an entire evening of potentially enjoyable flying with the *&^$%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Tim, please help! It seems the only flight I can make successfully is your training flight. Most others are rought with some kind of garbage! Many thanks,Scott
October 30, 200322 yr Scott,>I hit the PERF INIT> and get this!>ACT PERF LIMITS>TIME ERROR TOLERANCE>30 SEC AT RTA WPT>210/0.400 - CLB - 340/0.820>210/0.400 - CRZ - 340/0.820>210/0.400 - DES - 340/0.820You almost fooled me to believe that the TIME ERROR TOL was implemented but now I see that you got page 2 up on the PERF INIT.Try to press NEXT or PREV page button and you'll see a different menu of items. I hope I understood your situation correct now ;-)Regards, Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
