Advice from the pros

Hi All, Have two questions that should pose no problems to the knowledgeable: What category is the aircraft? I am trying to determine the DA/DH to use during approach, but I am not quite sure if the NG is category C (assume A and B are out of the question). D seems too high. Secondly, I am having trouble getting the taxi thrust to work for me. I am using the CH Flight Yoke Pro and have mapped one of the three levers on top to my throttle. I experience that I have to move the lever quite a way in order to get out of idle thrust (that is around 21% N1). What usually happens is that the slightest movement of the throttle lever will cause the commanded N1 to come to rest at around 30% N1 which means that the aircraft continuously accelerates. Has anyone found a good way to deal with this? I am thinking in terms of joystick settings etc. With thanks in advanceBoaz

I can only answer the first bit for you737NG (all types) is definitely CAT CFYI the CAT of an aircraft is determined by the following formula1.2 (or maybe 1.3) x stall speed of the aircraft at MAUW in the landing configuration. which is why an aircraft cant be dropped to a lower cat just because its all up weight happens to be lower on a given day..it is determined by its MAX All Up Weight.Hope this helps :-)Rob
