October 9, 200322 yr Hi Everyone,I'm running SU 1.1 and the latest STAR/SID database. Before I attempt a reinstall PMDG again, I wanted to check with anyone to see if they new of potential problems or fixes. My issue is that the plane dives to the ground, just prior to leveling off at cruise altitude. Coming up on 31,000 feet and WHAM, down we go at 8000ft per minute. I have LNAV and VNAV engaged.Has anyone else had this known issue and any advise on how to correct would be great? It's unflyable right now. Thanks very much,Brian
October 9, 200322 yr Hello Brian, This is a *old* issue that has not been reported since SU1. Sounds like to me that you still has parts of the old installation lurking about. I suggest a clean install using this remover tool:http://www.precisionmanuals.com/downloads/..._737_REMOVE.EXE Then re-install the original base followed by this update:http://www.precisionmanuals.com/downloads/...ation_SU1-1.ZIP That *should* cure your dive issue. A *good* installation is when you a; Select the correct files for the FS edition you are runningb: Did not have any installer messages stating that a old file was not updated..[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. October 10, 200322 yr Good Evening Randy,Thanks for your information. One last question, upon reinstalling the SU1.1 patch, I received and error message that said, PMDG SU1.1 could not recognize the current FSUIPC and it wasn't supported. Something to that nature. Is that normal? Does is affect a successful install? I'm using 3.10 currently. I've seen that message before on a prior reinstall. Thanks,BrianKPHX
October 10, 200322 yr Humm, you know I am not too sure Brian. I would try the climb to see, if you still have the dive issue remove FSUIPC first and the installer will provide it, then install your freeware FSUIPC version...[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. October 10, 200322 yr Hi Randy,I'm also having this diving issue, although I nore that while it's always at TOC, it also usually coincides with a V-NAV disconnect or a FLCH disconnect (if in FLCH mode).I might try the link you provided to "un-install" the NG and re-install. When un-installing, do I also need to go to add/remove programs and do an uninstall there? Also, when re-installing, is it a case of going through the registration process again as when the product was new? Thanks,Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
