October 19, 200322 yr Dear All:Just took my forst successful flight from San Diego to LA. 3 questions:I kept getting a FMC error message that read "Unable Crz Altitude". I couldn't get rid of it with the Clear key & when I tried, it kept changing to a message that said VNAV disconnect. Also, what does EFIS mode Nav freq disagree when I select VOR mode on my MCP mode choices. Finally, why can't I seem to get VNAV to engage during my flights. I have an active flight plan working - why won't it seem to engage?THanks all!Chris
October 19, 200322 yr "Also, what does EFIS mode Nav freq disagree when I select VOR mode on my MCP mode choices."If I understand you correctly you are seeing that text in yellow on the ND when you select either VOR or APP mode on the ND?Let /Tord Hoppe, Sweden
October 19, 200322 yr Author Hey! Thanks for the response! The cruise altitude I set was only 12000 because the flight is only about 90 miles. You think this is why there is no ability to get VNAV to work?Second, I don't have any SID/STARS. Where do I get them? The PMDG web page only says that they are coming soon. Where is everyone getting them from?Aside from these setbacks, I am enjoying this like crazy!
October 19, 200322 yr Chris,>The cruise altitude I set was only 12000 because the flight is>only about 90 miles. You think this is why there is no>ability to get VNAV to work? No, that shouldn't make a difference since there are no sid/star altitude restrictions. Did you have any altitudes on the legs page next to the waypoints? Sometimes, providing a screenshot can help.>Second, I don't have any SID/STARS. Where do I get them? The>PMDG web page only says that they are coming soon. Where is>everyone getting them from? This is an on-going problem -- one discussed frequently. Answer number 1: Do a "search" on "sid/star", or, Answer 2: click on the link http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...17723&mode=fullJust change the update to 0310, the latest NavData update ... the file structure is the same. Here is the link; http://www.navdata.at/ and though the page is "under construction, you can still download the latest cycle.C'ya!
