Custom waypoint?

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm wondering how to make a custom waypointto the FMC when I plan the route? For example a waypoint such as 17NM / 190deg. from SVD(vor).Sorry if this comes again...Yours,Markus

Markus,I think that's what described on page 45 of Timothy Metzinger's tutorial: "Defining a waypoint in reference to another waypoint."GreetingsThomas

Try "SVD190/17", Markus ;-)Cheers.Ian.

While I am impressed this real-life function is available, it would be even nicer to build additional user waypoints from previous user waypoints. In the real machine, the example waypoint would be viewed on the legs page as

"SVD190/17" didn't work. There was a database error.I'll try to find it out...Thank You for replying!Yours,Markus

Boy, glad you noticed ;). Wait till you notice all the subtle and not so subtle realisms in SU2, I can tell you that not even the great one comes close now[/b], you will be blown away....................... [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/196432/winglets_lg.jpg

Markus,I suspect you tried to make this waypoint on the RTE page right? The custom creation of waypoints can only be done on the LEGS page on the PMDG. I tried SVD190/17 yesterday on both pages and didn't succeed on the RTE page but managed to make a SVD01 on the LEGS page. In the real bird I think it can be done on the RTE page as well, but not at all sure here.Hope it helps,

If not, maybe someone can hint if that's fixed in SU2.

Hi TimThanks for clarifying. :-)Actually I used the latest beta build for SU2 there is. And no success. I'll make a note to Anthony about it.TGIF,
