I have just purchased and installed 737ng as per instructions and the service update 1.1 and I am getting a couple of problems1/ When I try to load FS9 it comes up with a message that it cant find FS2002/Scenery/BASE/Scenery/magdec.bgl. I created this directory even though I don't have FS2002 installed and it seems to work but would prefer that it pointed to the FS9 directory2/When trying to use the load manager I am unable to change any of the settings. All figures are at zero and all the sliders are full leftI have tried re-installing but have the same problemAny suggestions to fix these problems would be appreciatedThanks Trev

Hi Trev, Something sounds fishy here. Did you actually mean to type that when FS9 loads it gives you a "missing FS2002 file" error? FS9 has nothing to do with FS2002 if you correctly uninstalled FS2002 first and then installed FS9 correctly. I have both FS2002 and FS2004/FS9 on this computer and they are completely independent of each other. I run the PMDGs on both. Need more input from you on this one Trev.Good Luck and Regards

Hi Trev, uninstall and reinstall the PMDG 737, and make sure you select the option for FS2004 files during the install. If you also have FS2002 on your system, there is no need to uninstall it, but you'll have to install the PMDG separately to each sim, selecting the appropriate files.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg

Thanks guysThe message I get when I load FS9 is"Cannot read FS2002 MagVar dataCheck that fileF:Progam FilesMicrosoft GamesFs2002sceneryBASEscenerymagdec.bgl exists in your computerYou will be using 0.0 Magnetic Deviations."I don't have FS2002 on my computer and I have tried re-installing to insure I selected the correct boxes etc.

Trev, please make sure to sign all your posts on this forum with your name, thank you. Please download this remover tool and run it http://www.precisionmanuals.com/downloads/..._737_REMOVE.EXE Next, run the original installer. You already know about checking the check boxes for the correct install files during setup. But I think you are missing one important item. During install, the installer asks you to point to the correct directory, the PATH must show this:C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9 Next, Install this update over the original install http://www.precisionmanuals.com/downloads/...ation_SU1-1.ZIP Pay attention during the install process, if you get ANY menus stating that a file was not found and or updated, this means that the install did NOT work. I am pretty sure though if you follow these directions correctly that you should be up and running. Please let me know. If not, we can go to plan B ;)[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Cheers Randy I'll try that but do I have to save it to "C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9" as I have FS9 on "F drive"Trev

HiOK, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, being very particular about directory paths and which boxes were checked and I still get the same problemsTrev

Hi GostaYes it is in "F:Progam FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9sceneryBASEscenerymagdec.bgl"Cheers Trev

Another shot in the dark but I spent two days trying to figure out why my copy was going crazy and found out the registry was poiting to the wrong thing. Just for the heck of it Trev check your reistry and see where it is poiting too. I noticed that when I first added FS9 and check all the right boxes it stilled created a FS8 tree in my registry. Just a thought.Dave
