October 26, 200322 yr Nope, it's not a Super 27 and it's carrying passengers, so I guess we're solidly in the "fictional" category.... :)Out of Lasham, UK...http://members.cox.net/bbrowning2/Coug.jpgBest,Bill

October 27, 200322 yr THANK YOU, THANK YOU, Thank You!My favourite livery, with my favourite tail number (MD's wife's initials actually) out of my favourite maintenance base. I must pinch myself i must be dreaming!Btw the red nacelles make it look real sharp ta!FYI PMN only ever carried passengers.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/45467.jpgHere is a picture I took after I collected her from Chateauroux in France straight as she came out of the paint shop.Almost brings a tear to the eye, she did look very fetching! Thanks again bill, and let me know when she is ready!
October 30, 200322 yr Hi Bill,Thanks yet again for a magnificent effort, I've just completed a flight with the fictional G-OPMN.Is it a big job to add airstairs to the aircraft? If not, pretty please! Secondly how many doors actually operate? I have managed so far to open exits 1 & 2 left and both Hold doors these being operated by the switch for door 2L. Do/Should the other doors operate? I can see how much artistry/graphics work went into this by the frame rate reduction, but IMHO its worth it! :)
October 30, 200322 yr Hi Adrian,An excellent picture of my favourite aircraft. ;-)Only curious if it is you, who are the very captain in the excellent Cougar DVD from Just Planes Videos, STN-KIR-BRS & BRS-STN?Fly safe,Staffan AhlbergSweden/Stockholm/ESSA Staffan
October 30, 200322 yr Hi Staffan,"Only curious if it is you, who are the very captain in the excellent Cougar DVD from Just Planes Videos, STN-KIR-BRS & BRS-STN?"Yep, it is me! hehehehHaving spent some thirteen years on the 727 first with Dan-Air, then the Burkina Faso Govmt then Sabre and finally Cougar, I have to admit it is time to move on to newer aircraft. I will miss the old aircraft as I had a lot of fun. I particularly miss the big flight deck and Flight engineer combo but no matter what anybody says, I still think it has the sexiest and sleekest lines of any airliner flying today. If I could have my wish, it would be a 727 airframe with stage 4 engines and an NG flight deck still keeping the flight engineer as a systems manager or spare pair of eyes/brain for those nastier situations.Nice to meet you.
October 30, 200322 yr Hi again,I can only agree with you that the B727 is among the "sexiest" aircraft ever built. I can only think of one more sexy aircraft, and that is the DC-8 Super 63.:-)http://www.airliners.net/open.file/448243/M/http://www.airliners.net/open.file/414013/M/But ofcourse, the B737 NG isn Staffan
October 30, 200322 yr Adrian,I'll post the entry to the aircraft.cfg to add the livery to the stairs model tonight.I'll also compress the fuselage to DXT3 with no mips to help with the memory (You may not be able to tell much difference and it may by you a few frames.)By the by, I've also discovered a closer font to the one used on the 727. I'll be glad to change the font and send you the new fuselage texture as 32 bit and as a DXT3 - you can choose which you prefer.Best,Bill
