October 28, 200322 yr The 757 is still a very popular aircraft for simmers. The ultimate enjoyed in FLY!II, courtesy of PMDG. However in FS9, there are great 757 models like IFDG and now Opensky's, but there is no state-of-the-art cockpit like we enjoy now with the 737NG. Here is a wild but perhaps market successful suggestion, retool the beautiful 757 cockpit from FLY!II for FS9 and sell it, standalone. :-)GrantM
October 28, 200322 yr Hehe, yeah I too believe that a completely new 757 for FS9 would be wonderful. Fact is most people are not happy with PIC merged with a 757 model because it's never as good as the other (there is nothing else on the market for it's type that is worth a look). Even though I have always loved PIC, I was not happy with the panel layout or exterior (even a Posky 767 does not how the *wow* effect for me). The NG with the ZOOM and MAIN panels is a exapmle of a done right compromise in this regard, realistic and convenience. I think we have come a long ways for 2D modelling in 5 years. PMDG have a good head start with their Fly! 757 but it would only be a reference at points, you would not use anything from it but a new baby from scratch, they way it should be ;).. October 29, 200322 yr All i have to say about this. I would be one of the first buyers of such aircraft. I as well randy up here love the PIC but it's not meant for the 757 it is only meant for the 767. So go ahead PMDG and make such thing possible, i don't think that you will make greater sells as you will if you make such product.Go PMDG 757-200/300 Frieght Version too. Please We Need Everybody's Support Who Wants to See Such Product. Best Regards Adib Afraj Best Regards Adib Afraj
October 29, 200322 yr Well you can count me in. I really want a 757 panel. I think, with a few exceptions, Payware Panel devs should hook up Freeware models like the POSKY 757 and get the FDE's and Configs, and knock out a stonking panel for it.Please PMDG...Jason

And 757? The most beautiful aircraft I ever seen... why not? Best regards,Himar Viera
October 29, 200322 yr I vote YES.For a period of about 8 months, I flew nothing else but the PIC panel with the IFDG 757 with that special .air file. Before that was out, Mike T's 757 merge was also exclusive. I even abandoned the DF737 (I dont really like 737s).I know PMDG is swamped now with SU2 and most likely SU3 for the 736/737 and then the 738/739/BBJ. However, I'm thinking that once the SU2/SU3 comes out, it shouldn't take long to get the 738/739/BBJ out since there are just small changes to the models and adding some extras to the panels. At that point, I think you guys should seriously explore the possibility of the 757....The most beautiful jetliner ever created.I certainly would buy it.(You could even work on it and release it before teh 738/739/BBJ. Since I dont like 737s I certainly won't mind.....:) )
October 29, 200322 yr Anthony,I think PMDG 737TNG is currently the best aircraft we have for FS9. I think they should continue (in fact I actually believe they will do it) with 738/739/BBJ production. But after this great release... please, consider this possibility.Best,Himar Viera
October 30, 200322 yr It Looks Like We Need More Support, For A Developer To Concider it. Best Regards Adib Afraj Best Regards Adib Afraj
October 30, 200322 yr I have heard around the Flightsim woods that!!!!!......It would never sell.......I say they are WRONGO.I was saddened when PSS decided not to persue/upgrade their 757 for FS2000 to FS2002.I have been hounding other development teams to undertake this project for months and the only response is......IT WONT SELL enough units to pay for itself.I believe I posted this same subject a couple of weeks back I guess this verifys that their is intrest and support. Please PMDG after you get SU2 done plese hav a long conference with the team and seriously consider it.ThanksRandy.....
October 30, 200322 yr More Help Won't Hurt. I know there's more people that want to see such package, so speak your mind. Best Regards Adib Afraj Best Regards Adib Afraj
October 30, 200322 yr You can get a pretty good result by using the new Posky 757 visual model and VC with Lonny Payne's Panel and Ifdg's .air and .cfg, i must say it takes a bit of work to get it all working but it's not bad.HOWEVER i'd love a PMDG 757! I'd get one no question.
October 31, 200322 yr count me in, i dream and pray each night that a payware 757 is announced and i would not pick any other group than PMDG to make it.adamYou cant truley understand flying until you have actually tasted and felt it.
October 31, 200322 yr Hehehe...Having flown a real 757 sim, and PIC767 (with 757 panel) for its entire life-span I could not agree more. The B757 is the most beautiful larger transport category aircraft ever built. Its cockpit philosophy is also something that I adore: old and new mixed in a very neat fashion.Flying the 757 is a joy.Tero PPL(A)
