October 29, 200322 yr Hi everyone ;)Ok well I didnt seem to have this problem when I first got the PMDG 737NG however somethings is not right now. Ive registered the FSUIPC and all is well with that I guess. However no matter what fuel I place in the left hand tank i.e number 1 tank the fuel onboard seems to stay the same all fuel pumps are on for the whole flight and still the left hand tank doesnt move its reading from 8260. The problem starst when using fuel as an imbalance occurs cause the aircraft to yaw left even taxing becomes a slight problem.Even if I set only 50 % of fuel in all tanks the left hand tank doesnt read the same as the right hand tank.Could this be linked to my fsuipc module or not and has anyone come across this probelm. I just kinda wanna get this one sorted as its becoming anoying as u can imagine.I want to be in control of my fuel !!! LOL :(
October 29, 200322 yr Moderator The obvious question is have you enabled Use Unlimited Fuel?Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England). November 1, 200322 yr Thankyou for replying to my posted message ...However it seems with I had unlimited fuel unticked.Ive read through the articles on fuel imbalance/ flameouts. Ok Ive never had a flameout. But no matter what I set in the aircraft/fuel quantities Im still getting that ones tank no filling. Is there any other way to fill the tanks besides within the menus from above ?This plane just wont fly straight any more ahhh ! :)
November 1, 200322 yr you've to PAUSE the sim while "refilling" the tanks - another way should be, do refill before starting the APU and/or EnginesHansJuergen
November 1, 200322 yr Moderator Try this instead. Make sure the engines are turned off before loading fuel. Then, after starting the engines make sure you switch the APU off. If you don't the fuel will not be used evenly from the two tanks. That always works for me.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England). This allows the tanks to be filled even with the APU on.
November 2, 200322 yr Moderator Fred,Whilst your suggestion that pausing FS2004 undoubtedly works is this entirely realistic? Real aircraft don't have a pause button. Fuel is loaded before the aircraft pushes back and engine are started.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England). November 2, 200322 yr Real aircraft don't have mice to input their CDU either but hey it's a desk top sim eh??[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/196432/winglets_lg.jpg Randy J Smith
November 2, 200322 yr Well. Thanks everyone with their help on this subject. You guys are just great . Problem sorted all thats left is to carry on with my ILS training here in Prestwick.Once again Thankyou very muchHappy LandingsJuan Garcia-MendezTechnician GLA http://www.ba.com :)
November 2, 200322 yr Moderator Randy,Yes it is a sim but that doesn't mean you shouldn't follow proper procedures and load fuel before the APU is turned on and the engines are started. For a aircraft costing $40 you're not dealing with the average simmer. You're dealing with people who want to emulate the real world so proper procedures should be followed and that means avoiding the pause key.Cheers, Ray (Cheshire, England).
