November 3, 200322 yr Hi i got the PMDG and took it for a test-flight. Luton To Amsterdam Easyjet. Using my knowledge of the DF734 i managed to program her for the flight. The flight was completely uneventful and went smoothly until landing when at 4DME final to 18R with visibility down to 3000 meters i made the decision for an automatic landing which proceeded fine until 4 miles out when the A/THR enabled N1 and full power was applied climbing above the G/S. I'm not sure what went wrong 18R is quite a long runway so i opted for a flaps 30 with VREF around 120kts and selected in the FMC also it was displayed in the MCP speed.I also tried another flight in my Easyjet from Liverpool to Luton. Luton was in fog this evening so i again opted for an automatic landing until 4 miles as visibilty was around 5 miles, got the same N1 problem with a drama of spoilers and idle power slammed into the runway. Poor passengers !RegardsG-MIDYhttp://www.airliners.net/open.file/265713/L/ Lawrence Ashworth
November 3, 200322 yr First, please sign your real first name on this forum sir, this unlike many things in FS is not an option ;) Thank you Your problem is that you are going to slow and the aircrafy is keeping you from stalling. VREF + 5 knots should be set on the MCP. Do you have A/T engaged? Speed selected and button lighted? It will auto protect anyway just with A/T armed. Did you opt for the approach REF from the APP page on the CDU? If not, where did you get 120 knots or so? [h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. November 4, 200322 yr Author I am fully setup the FMC Approach speed is selected and i got 30 degrees flap speed 122kts. The A/T is armed and i am in Speed mode but it engages N1 on short finals for no apparent reason. I use a lower ZFW as i tend to enjoy business type flights more. ZFW was 99,084 in a mixed configuration.Regards Lawrence AshworthG-MIDY Lawrence Ashworth
