November 15, 200322 yr i do not have the fmcwp folder in my flight sim for the 737 pack. i just bought it today. Also i am having a problem opening the 3dowload files. not the installer file but the other three. the other three do not want to open and i redowloaded it 3 times. what should i do?regardslylei am so frustrated
November 15, 200322 yr The installer will open the other files for you - just make sure they're all in the same folder together with the installer. The FMCWP folder is not part of the default FS, you'll have to create it, or let the installer do it. It should be in the main FS folder.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
November 15, 200322 yr Don't get frustrated Lyle, we'll get you up and running. The FMCWP folder must be created by you. Rightclick within the main FS9 folder and choose NEW FOLDER. Name it FMCWP. You can now POINT the Airac installer to that new folder. The other *3* files do not do anything, just click on the main EXE file and make sure that all the setup files are in the same place when launching the setup process (i.e. all in one folder etc).. November 15, 200322 yr Randy thanks a lot. you sound like you know what going on. I am not able to make a flight plan. when i put in the departure airport, it tells me that its not in the database and i installed the latest navdata and sir/stars. what should i do?regardslyleoh and how do i select waypoints and intersections?
November 15, 200322 yr Hi Lyle, the navdata does not contain all airports in FS, but only ones with runways over 6000ft length. However, it has happened that an airport that's large enough was forgotten in the database - where were you flying from? You select waypoints by typing them into the route or legs pages of the FMC. The advantage of using the route page is, that you can also enter airways, which will save you a lot of typing, as you only need to enter the entry and exit waypoints of the airway, rather than every single intersection.I'd recommend downloading Timothy Metzinger's great tutorial - it's available here in the Avsim library.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
