November 17, 200322 yr Most times when I fly the PMDG 737 & land, I am told to contact ground. I do - expecting to get an option to taxi to the gate for parking (at which I would usually turn on the progressive taxi option). Most times when I land, I get this annoying option that says - "Taxi for Takeoff Options". Then if I want to contact ground after landing, I get all these options for taking off again. The 8th one is on that says, "Taxi to parking options.." But when I press this, it only takes me right back to all the options on Taking off again. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? After ATC clears me for landing, & then I acknowledge this, & then I indeed land, all I want to do is get my clearance to from ground to taxi to park. I am rarely ever offered this option. I have tried stopping on the runway first. I have tried clearing the runway first, then contacting ground, etc. Nothing seems to work. I am getting very frustrated with this one small problem. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks.Chris Catalano
November 17, 200322 yr Hi Chris,Just to expand on the previous reply...The default FS9 scenery has relatively few parking spots at most airports. There may appear to be a lot of jetways, gates, etc. but not all of these are actual "parking spots" as far as FS9 is concerned. If all the available spots are already occupied then you will get the behaviour you described. When this happens to me I typically just go ahead and taxi in without clearance. (using the overhead view to find the terminal if I am unfamiliar with the airport).By the way, there are a lot of updated airports becoming available for download that greatly increase the number of parking spots. One source that has lots of them is http://www.projectai.flight1.net/You may also be able to find some by searching the avsim file library.Hope this helps,Don

November 18, 200322 yr Hi Art,I've been thinking about giving online flying a try. I like the busy airports and skies I get with MyTraffic. Are the skies pretty well populated online? Now that I say that though maybe lightly populated skies would be better for an online newbe. ;) Also, are the participants friendly and tolerant of newcomers who are still in the learning stages?Anyway, perhaps I'll give it a go soon.Don
