November 28, 200322 yr in the past three weeks there have been major upgrades: for the F1 Meridian, the SSW Airbus and the PSS airbusses/Dash 8. Each one of these updates has been difficult if not downright disasterous for us poor USERS and I am sure way worse for the publishers/developers/tech support people. There is a common thread in the three situations ... upgrade patches to FS2002 and FS2004 at the same time ... WHILE in 2 of 3, there was a CLEAN INSTALL available which contained essentially a new version, or the originals and all patches. To help us all, and obviously you guys at PMDG, I suggest that a simple "reinstall" be made available ... ie. a deinstaller for FS2002 and FS2004 .. cleaning up all the stuff, registry whatever ... except maybe the KEY ... and then a separate new install for FS2002 and FS2004. This way "we know what kind of user we are" and can download the deinstaller and installer(s) we need. I am sure you guys have worked off of an "almost gold" build and it would be easier simply to package that than to create an updater patch or program ...I truly enjoy this hobby and don't really mind fiddling with installations ... but honestly I would rather be flying than being a technician trying to shoot bugs ... and I would rather you guys be getting rich and working on new stuff than worrying about N combinations and permutations of what people have done.Well .. at any rate ... just a suggestion ..Regards,
