Install problem

Featured Replies

I keep getting asked for disk#2, the files downloaded with peculiar names so I renamed them as you suggested in a previous post. Here is a picture of the directoryDudley Brooke

DudleyWhat`s this about renaming files?Hooey,Just make sure all four installation files that you downloaded one off the link and the three off the website are all in the same folder. That should do it unless something drastic has changed scince I installed it.Ted

Sounds like one of the install files may be corrupt. I had a similar problem. Deleted them all and re-downloaded - everything went ok then.ScottYBTL

try only putting the 4 files in the folder (exe and the 3 woxx files), I noticed you had the SU1-1.exe patch in the folder. Take out the patch file and then retry. that was my problem, and it worked after I had just the 4 files in it. I don't know why it did that but it just did.

Thanks everyone! I did try re-downloading and renaming as they were coming down with lots of things infront of the filename. It still didn't work, so I resurrected Internet Exploder (I use Mozilla 1.5 normally) and downloaded with that. The install then went fine, the site must use some proprietary jiggery-pokery in the background, which doesn't work with Netscape/Mozilla (can't say I approve, but that's another story) - I am off to have fly it now, as I've been too busy too try it yet.Dudley
