December 14, 200322 yr Lefteris,I went back to manual attempts and got back to the download page. After a couple of attempts at the download link I got the message "Opening page http://" etc. on the status bar of internet explorer, and the mouse pointer changed to the hourglass when I hold it over the IE page. It has been like that for the last 15 min.My question is this:Should I leave the page like that and just wait because any moment now the download will start orAm I hanging in internet limbo and I should reattempt the download? Please advise - wait while the opening page message shows on the status bar or retry because it's hung. Thanks and regards,Will Feibel.
December 14, 200322 yr wow, you guys are fast. I just posted in the other thread, that I hope it will be fixed tomorrow, when I try to download again. Now everything is right again. Regards Semmel
December 14, 200322 yr Commercial Member Gents-there was a temporary glitch with the server - those of you who were trying, but got this instead, please be advised that it is now sorted out.Note: It was unrelated to how many attempts you are allowed for download, so you should not worry about that - we only had about 10 people locked out so far, and I had reset those entries this morning...Now- in terms of Download Managers, such as DAP:We *STRONGLY* advise AGAINST having DAP auto-retry every 5/10/20/30 seconds (or whatever) - what this does, is not giving the opportunity for others to attempt to connect. It is BEST to cancel your attempt, coming back later to try it again - manually. Thanks for your (continued) patience! Don't worry - as we said, there are LOTS of people who've succeeded in downloading the file already, so if you have patience, you'll get your turn! Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
December 14, 200322 yr I don't know if this helps, but I'll submit it just in case. I got the help from Leboux4 in another thread (about Patience).I just finished downloading SU2 using his approach. What I had been doing was:1. Get to the download page using my password, etc2. Click on the download link, get the too many users message.3 Hit F5 to refresh.4. Repeat 2. and 3. until the page hung, displaying a message on the status bar about opening page http etc.5. Have the message on the status page timeout and repeat 1. to 5.What I did on my successful attempt was:1. As above2. As above3. Hit the backspace key to get back to the download page4. Click on the download link, get the too many users message.5. Repeat 3. and 4. many times (20 to 30 I think) until I got a message saying "waiting for http etc", then almost immediately the save file box and then the download. Took about 7 minutes on my broadband cable connection, not bad at all.The big difference was not hitting refresh but rather backspacing to the previous page and reclicking the download link. Don't know if that was the reason for my successful download or if I just got lucky, but I submit it for your consideration if you're still as frustrated as I was after fifteen hours. And now, off to have some fun.Regards and good luck to all,Will Feibel.

(but anxious to download the Service Update 2 from PMDG).This 737 is easily the best! Thanks PMDG!AlexisYanes
