Help! FS2004 Not Responding

Featured Replies

First, I do not thin SU2 has anything to do with my problem! I am simply appealing to the PMDG forum for help because you all represent the cream of the crop in terms of techno savy!I have DiretX 9b loaded and FS2004 is still not responding? Task Manager show "NOT RESPONDING" as soon as the FS9 splash screen appears! It did work a few weeks ago, but until I received the SU2 update from PMDG I have not run FS9.I tried to uninstall all programs installed after that point which FS9 was working including all FS related files and still nothing! Does this mean I need to re-install Windows? If this is the case I might as well take up another hobby because that idea is ridicules! To think that some other program might somehow prevent FS9 from running is completely absurd!I sure hope someone has a better solution. THanks in advance for your help!Happy Holidays,Scott

Scott - I don't know why, but many times just reinstalling DX9b will cure the "hung-at-the-splash-screen" problem. It's easy to do, can't hurt anything, and might work for you also.Doug
