December 23, 200322 yr When I made an attempt to make a transatlantic flight plan yesterday from Geneva to Newark, then from Frankfurt to Montreal, or from Gatwick to Kennedy, each time the FS9 flight planner was routing me via an intersection located in Alaska (!!!) called ADREW. Intra European, intra American, transpacific or trans-siberian flight planning routes are not affected at all, only transat flights.Of course one can edit the flight plan manually and copy an ETOPS route for example (although this is somewhat of a challenge if one wants to enter new intersections not in the MSFS9 database). However, the FMC won't accept that and will still indicate a flight duration including the ADREW deviation, meaning that no ETOPS flight can be performed due to range limitations.Does anyone have a tip to get out of this?
December 23, 200322 yr Forget about using FS9 flight planner...over the pond or anywhere for that matter.Get a real world route and plug it into the FMC yourself....or get FSBuild and create your own route. You won't get the AI ATC for your route...use VATSIM instead.Have fun!Rob.
