January 26, 200422 yr Im not positive in the NGs but i know pilots of other planes have found it useful in a couple of thigns-- ILS Approaches and Stalls especially, if you're fimilar with fighters it is similar to the velocity vector--it is helpful when you want to know where the plane is actually going in relation to where it is pointed (so for ILS approaches you can see the 3.5* or whatever the glideslope is--and stalls obviously you can see your sink rate) It shows your true direction, anytime you are curious to that, i sggest u turn on the FPV--i think a lot of it boils down to personal preference in the end tho--someone can correct me if i am wrong
January 26, 200422 yr Very useful for doing perfect steep turns in the sim!I've never actually used it for anything in flight though..
